The Moama Water Sports Club has taken the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Beehag 100 water ski race, scheduled to have been held on the 27th November 2021.

The new-look race was to run on a new course from Torrumbarry to Wills Bend Wharparilla and return, attracting water ski racing competitors from all over Australia.  With the current COVID restrictions in Victoria and the projected road map out of lockdowns, the committee felt that MWSC could not run the event within the projected guidelines. We thank our sponsors Morlet Auto Group and The American hotel for their support.

MWSC President Mr Steve Shipp commented, ‘We are disappointed not to be running the new look Beehag 100, but with the uncertainty of COVID and the restrictions in place, we felt that it would be difficult to conduct the event.  We will now concentrate on bringing the Southern 80 to Echuca / Moama on the 11th to the 13th February 2022.’

Water Ski Racing is hitting the water, Australia wide from the 30th of October with series races in NSW and Qld. Victorian competitors are hitting the water in their point score events in mid-November and December.  The Moama Water Sports Club looks forward to welcoming ski race competitors to the Echuca / Moama for the Southern 80  – 11th to the 13th February 2022. See you under the bridge!
