Life Members of the Moama Water Sports Club

Barrie Beehag

One of the founding members of the Moama Water Sports Club in 1975. Director from 1975 to 1993. President 1977 to 1980. Raced his boat BBB for many years, passed away in 2006 and Barrie Beehag Ski Race was named in his honour.

Harley Nicholls

Director 1975 to 1987. Rejoined 1992 to 2003. President 1981, 1982, 1986, then again 1995 to 1998. Raced his SMOC boat Azatak. His son Andrew, also an ex ski racer and director.

Ken Oliver

Director to 1991, then again 1995 to 2013, rejoined in 2018.  President 1988 to 1989. Raced his boat Alabama for many years, towing his sons Jamie and Travis Oliver.

Peter Glanville

Director from 1990 to 2015. President from 1992 to 1994, raced his boat ‘It’s mine’, in the early 80’s with his daughter Betty (our secretary) observing and sons Graeme and Max skiing. Famous for his white valiant Ute with green roof at the Torrumbarry Start line.

Kerry Floyd

Director   to 1985, then again 1992 to 1998. Father of well known ski racer Shane Floyd. Kerry observed for many years in Bill Simons boat ‘Rock a Billy’, an 8 litre skicraft.

Donna Wilson

Director 1985 to 1987, then again 1995 to 2003.  Held the position of Treasurer all of these years.  Wife of well known local boat builder, Kevin Wilson.  Donna still helps out on race weekend every year.

Noel Grant

Director from 1996 to 2006. President 1999 to 2000. Raced his boat Shadrack towing his daughter in Womens.

Neil Donald

Been director of MWSC since 1995. President 2001 to 2005. Instrumental in developing Presidents Dash. Has raced every Southern 8o since 1986, in his boats: Penetration, Sonic and The Contractor.

Bob and Jane Dalton

Bob was a director to 1987, then again 1991 to 1992.  Jane joined the club in 1979 and was a director in 1988.  Both continued to help over the next 20 years or so, Jane as a finish judge and Bob as a ‘spotter’.

Alan McDonald

Director from 2000 to 2013. President 2006 to 2012. Observed for many years with Harley Nicholls in Azatak.  Although living interstate, still returns to be race controller, every year for the Barrie Beehag and the Southern 80.

Julie Golledge

A long-time club member since 1999, assisting current and past secretaries every year.  Has developed our web site, Facebook, twitter, media liaison, database of our race day information.  You name it, Julie’s done it. Wife of ex-Ski racer and Chief Judge Marty Golledge.

Lance Tomkins

Director from 2001 to 2017, treasurer from 2004 to 2017. Race his Lab boat, Little Man for many years, which his son, Shaun now drives.  Passed away suddenly in 2018.
